TIme for The Bruichladdich 15 yr old 2nd edition. In my last order I received a sample of this Islay Whisky. I have to admit, that I don’t know how to pronounce this name. I tried, but if it sounds right, I don’t know. Lucky for me you can read it!
The name Bruichladdich is pronounced ‘broech-laddie” and comes from the Gaelic. Words from these languages often have multiple meanings and Bruichladdich means “hill of the sea” or “hill that looks over the sea’. Really, the place and the distillery, built on a hillside, with views over Loch Indaal. Never been there, but I’ve seen some wonderful pictures!
