Family run whisky makers Wemyss Malts have released two additional bottlings into its Family Collection range of blended Scotch malt whiskies and have named them ‘Blooming Gorse’ and ‘Flaming Feast’ after the flavours found in each whisky.
Both malt whiskies have been crafted from the family’s private collection of maturing whisky casks which were sourced by Isabella Wemyss and filled under her supervision. Years later, the mature whisky casks were selected by famed whisky writer Charlie Maclean and the Wemyss Malts team only when the spirit and casks had reached absolute balance and harmony, ready for crafting into exceptional blended malt whiskies.
Family whisky makers Wemyss Malts have relaunched wemyssmalts.com, a brand new website offering whisky fans the chance to join the Wemyss Malts Cask Club. Membership offers access to unique bottlings released solely to the members as well as preview purchases of the latest malt whisky releases.
The initial offering to the Cask Club is “Smoky Nectar” a 35 year old single hogshead cask from Caol Ila distillery.
Weymess Malts has done it again. They released Nectar Grove, a new blended Scotch malt whisky.
Weymess Malts selected Highland Scotch whiskies and finished them for a further period in casks which had previously held Madeira wine. Nectar Grove was named by the Wemyss tasting panel which reflects its succulent and luscious fruit character.
But let’s not forget the amazing label. The eye-catching label was inspired by Ceramics and Fretworks from Portugal, reflecting the vibrancy and variation within the whisky.
Wednesday, October 25, an evening with an attractive foursome from Wemyss Malts. Vanilla Burst, Treacle Chest, Spice King and the Spice King Old Fashioned cocktail. All delivered in one box with one goal, to make it an unforgettable evening for the tasters, one to remember.
They were separated after the delivery for The Old Fashioned was placed into the fridge to cool down.
