Whisky giftware firm Angels’ Share Glass is marking its fourth anniversary with the launch of a series of birthstone angels.

The Stirling-based family company, founded on April 9, 2013, has created a new version of its signature line of whisky-filled glass angels featuring precious gemstone jewels.

The angels are each holding a real gemstone representing months of the year – Diamond for April, Emerald for May and so on.

Renowned glassmaker Tom Young has been awarded an MBE in the New Year Honours list. Mr Young, co-founder of Stirling family firm Angels’ Share Glass, was given the honour to mark his long service to the glassmaking industry.

He was shocked and delighted to receive the award which will be presented to him at St James Palace, London during a ceremony in the summer.

Family Firm raises £11K in crowdfunding bid for new studio

Karen and her dad TomAn award-winning family firm has raised more than £11,000 for a state-of- the-art glassblowing studio following a Crowdfunding appeal. Staff at Angels’ Share Glass, which specialises in unique gifts for whisky lovers, were delighted with the total of £11,360 from the bid on crowdfunding platform Indiegogo.
