Similar to geo-caching, but with whisky, a trail of Angels’ Nectar Whisky Caches will be hidden across Speyside during the Spirit of Speyside Whisky Festival. Guests will be able to find the whisky filled caches via a series of clues after registering for the event via the Spirit of Speyside web site. The first to find each Angels’ Nectar Whisky Cache will be rewarded with a 200ml bottles of Angels’ Nectar Blended Malt Scotch Whisky, perfect for sharing.
A surge in demand for tickets for the Spirit of Speyside Whisky Festival generated sales of £209,449 in the first 24 hours of release – with 173 events completely selling out in that time. Ticket sales hit a high, beating last year’s total by more than £55,000, and making it another record-breaking launch for the festival.
Whisky lovers snapped up the opportunity to gain behind-the-scenes access to distilleries that are not usually open to the public, as well showing strong demand for dining events, VIP experiences and connoisseur tours. Ticket sales went live at 12 noon on Tuesday, February 5. The first hour was frenetic, with a spend of £170,492 and 95 events selling out in that period.
BenRiach Distillery is pleased to announce the release of a new triple distilled expression, aged for 10 years, exclusively for the global travel retail market.
The expression joins the classic and peated BenRiach Quarter Casks in the global travel retail range from BenRiach. The range embodies the unconventional Speyside style of BenRiach and its creative heritage of distilling malt whisky in a ‘troika’ of styles: unpeated, peated and triple distilled.
