The team that created a pioneering blend of Scotch and Japanese whisky is launching a whisky to celebrate the historic ties between India and Scotland and honour the Scot who helped modernize India’s railways and link the cities of Bombay, Delhi, Calcutta, Madras and Karachi by rail.
Edinburgh-based Fusion Whisky Limited launched The Glover series of premium whiskies last year in honour of “Scottish Samurai” Thomas Blake Glover. Made by blending Scotch with extremely rare whisky from Japan, The Glover pioneered the concept of fusing malt whiskies from international distilleries.
RNLI Lifeboat crew member Graham Campbell and Nicola Stevenson, Scapa Distillery Visitor Manager, present Scapa Jutland, a new single cask single malt Scotch whisky crafted to mark the centenary of the Battle of Jutland on 31st May 2016.
Scapa was used as a base by the British naval fleet during the First World War and the artisanal island single malt distillery has released 249 bottles of Scapa Jutland (RRP £200) with all profits from their sale, estimated at over £45,000, to be donated by Chivas Brothers to the RNLI.

The coveted liquid was left to quietly sleep for nearly three decades until it was awoken after a chance meeting between Liam Hughes, CEO of The Glasgow Distillery Company and the original owners.
