Tomatin has swept the board at the 2019 San Francisco World Spirit Competition, with seven Double Gold wins and four Gold awards. The latest victories cement a decade of success, with nearly 60 prestigious accolades across the board for the globally recognised whisky brand.

Irish Distillers, Ireland’s leading supplier of spirits and wines and producer of the world’s most well-known and successful Irish whiskeys, today announced the appointment of Henry Donnelly as the new Distiller of the Micro Distillery at the Midleton Distillery in Co Cork.
As part of his new role, Henry will be responsible for the day to day operations of the Micro Distillery in Midleton and will work closely with Master Distiller Brian Nation on the production of innovative and experimental new whiskeys to add to the existing Irish Distillers portfolio. In the third part of The Speyside Whisky Festival, I mentioned the wonderfull Cragganmore distillery. After a very interesting tour, we had a litte tasting of their whisky, plus two surprises from the warehouse, Drams & Scran.
The tasting was held in the luxurious surroundings of the Cragganmore Club Room. A romantic room filled with the smell of history, old furniture, good whisky and Kevin. A lovely range of whisky with good looking delights, mouthwatering. But let’s move on to the whisky and the tastingnotes. Cragganmore gained one more fan since, me.
Tomatin Distillery has today, Thursday 6th April, revealed that one of its board directors, Stephen Bremner (41), has been inducted into the exclusive Scotch Whisky society, The Keepers of the Quaich.
Stephen joins the likes of Prince Charles, Jackie Stewart, Ronald Reagan and Alex Salmond in his exclusive new role.
One of the country’s newest and greenest distilleries is celebrating after pre-orders for its very first batch of mature spirit vastly exceeded the number of bottles produced.
Deanston has added another unique, hand-crafted single malt to its distinguished Scotch whisky portfolio – Deanston Oloroso 20 Year Old.
This limited edition expression, available from the end of November, has been bottled at cask strength after maturing for 20 years at the Perthshire distillery in ex-Oloroso sherry casks.
The taste profile includes hints of Oloroso sherry mixed with warming gingerbread and nutmeg, making it an ideal malt for the festive season.

Scottish craft spirits producer The Glasgow Distillery Company have announced the launch of a collection of one-off releases of aged Speyside single malts inspired by Greek mythology. The first release in the collection is Prometheus, a 26-year-old Speyside single malt of secret origins that combines the smoky influence of peated barley with the wonderfully zesty and floral notes typical of this region.
