Tomatin Distillery boss joins host of celebrities as he is named Keeper of the Quaich

Tomatin Distillery has today, Thursday 6th April, revealed that one of its board directors, Stephen Bremner (41), has been inducted into the exclusive Scotch Whisky society, The Keepers of the Quaich.

Stephen joins the likes of Prince Charles, Jackie Stewart, Ronald Reagan and Alex Salmond in his exclusive new role.

Scotland’s greenest whisky distillery celebrates as first release sells out three times over amid ‘overwhelming’ demand

One of the country’s newest and greenest distilleries is celebrating after pre-orders for its very first batch of mature spirit vastly exceeded the number of bottles produced.

Independent bottler and distiller Adelphi said it had decided to release its Ardnamurchan Spirit 2016 AD due to high interest and the spirit’s “remarkable” quality, producing just under 2500 bottles.
Adelphi said it had received orders for three times that amount, despite the spirit being too young to be called whisky.

Deanston launches limited edition cask strength 20yr old

This limited edition expression, available from the end of November, has been bottled at cask strength after maturing for 20 years at the Perthshire distillery in ex-Oloroso sherry casks.

The taste profile includes hints of Oloroso sherry mixed with warming gingerbread and nutmeg, making it an ideal malt for the festive season.

Island first: Multimillion-pound whisky distillery planned for for Isle of Raasay

R&B Distillers Managing Director, Alasdair Day, enjoys a dram on the Isle of Raasay (7)A tiny Hebridean island off the coast of Skye is set to become the location of Scotland’s newest distillery.

The multimillion-pound Raasay Distillery and visitor experience centre will be independently owned & operated by R&B Distillers and hopes to open in January 2017, if planning permission is granted later this year.

The development would become the island’s first legal distillery and is expected to generate employment for eleven of the island’s 120 residents.

The Glasgow Distillery Company launches Prometheus 26 yr Single Malt
