Leading Dutch distiller, Dutch Spirits, is celebrating after being awarded a gold medal for its Van Meer’s Stroopwafel liqueur at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition (SFWSC), one of the most renowned international competition.
The gold award highlights the outstanding quality of the authentic Dutch drink which was praised by the judging panel following a blind tasting.
Andy Mallows, MD Dutch Spirits comments:
“The San Francisco World Spirits Competition is one of the most distinguished competition in the industry and to be awarded a gold medal for our Van Meer’s Stroopwafel liqueur is an honour. We are all incredibly proud here at Dutch Spirits that the panel of judges has recognised our expertise and dedication to produce high quality liqueurs.”
SFWSC gold medal is the first award for Van Meer’s Stroopwafel liqueur in 2017. The brand has already been awarded five medals at various international competitions since its launch in 2015.
Toon Blij, Dutch Spirits owner says:
I’m delighted that Stroopwafel, a brand I created two years ago, has already encountered so many successes. I was merely trying to bring the iconic Dutch biscuit to the world in another dimension and it has been wonderful received.
The award winning drink is currently available in leading retailers in the USA and Holland and plans to launch in the UK and wider markets in the coming months.
