Review: Gordon & MacPhail Pulteney Distillery 1998

Pulteney Distillery 1998, a 19 year old single malt whisky from the Scottish Highlands. This beautiful whisky was distilled on Wednesday, 26 august 1998 and bottled on Thursday, 21 June 2018.

The casktype that was used for this whisky was a first fill bourbon barrel.The outturn of the Pulteney Distillery 1998 release is  192 bottles.

This whisky is part of the Gordon & MacPhail range to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Connoisseurs Choice. A range that remains true to George Urquhart’s original vision and philosophy.

Gordon & MacPhail Pulteney Distillery 1998 – 57,5%

  • Color: Grain gold
  • Nose: Sharp, red pepper, mandarin, lavender, bubblegum, complexity of antique wax, fruitella, vanilla, peaches, soaked pears, honey, wet leafs after a snowfall in December
  • Taste: Warm, citrus, spicy, pink lady apples, cherries, medicine touch, pepperish, salty, honey, red pepper mixed with salt and cinnamon, red fruit and complexity of a bowl full with citrus fruits
  • Warm and lovely smooth
