Redbreast Lustau Edition

When I hear RedBreast, I think of the red-breasted flycatcher, a bird. One of my favorites birds in the world. But I also know, of course it is also a fabulous whiskey, also one of my favorites.

Redbreast Lustau Edition, finished in hand selected, first-fill sherry butts that are seasoned with Oloroso sherry from the prestigious Bodegas Lustau in Jerez.

On the launch of Redbreast Lustau Edition, Midleton Head Blender, Billy Leighton, comments:

‘With Redbreast Lustau Edition we seized the opportunity to celebrate the iconic sherry influence on the Redbreast range’

Autumn has arrived and Redbreast 12 yr is a perfect whiskey for this time of het year, but competition has arrived. The Redbreast Lustau Edition is standing next to the 12 yr old, both gold to me.

I didn’t wanted to ruin the cork of this sweet little bottle and it would be a waste if it fell in the bottle, so I removed it slowly and with care. Lovely relaxed as you should be, when tasting and nosing a whiskey. Reminds me, next time I will make sure there will be appropriate music in the room as well. To create the perfect atmosphere.
