Pinkster, agreeably British Gin

Pinkster, Agreeably British Gin

Pinkster, agreeably British Gin. A refreshing 38 % pinky up gin, that deserves your attention and to never let go. I was curious for a while, but it finally happened. It took some time, but it did.

My pink went straight up in the air and I had a chance to nose and to taste this beautiful looking bottle of pink gin. Pinkster is a characteristic, small batch premium gin and characteristic it is for sure, no doubt.

When you visit the website, you will find a short story how this all started. It made me laugh though.

I would like to share a couple of lines from Stephen Marsh. For the rest of the story, I would like to refer you to their website. It is a fantastic read on a great website.

A kitchen table, a frustrated accountant and a bottle of gin. Perhaps more the ingredients for a game of Cluedo, but that’s how the business was born.

Pinkster Gin was launched in the year 2013 and G&J Distillers, one of the world’s oldest gin distilleries, was recruited to the cause. After the nosing and the tasting, this is recommendable to any experienced gin drinkers and the newbies.

Tasting Notes:

  • Color: Pale pink
  • Nose: Fresh, raspberries, hints of  juniper notes, strawberries, tingeling feeling
  • Taste: Very fruity, raspberries, strawberries, a lot of red fruit. refreshing and smooth mouthfeel.
  • Finish: Lovely fresh

What is interesting to know is that this was produced with eight botanicals including juniper and raspberries.
