Distill Ventures hosts spirited group of top names for first entrepreneur masterclass at Tales of the Cocktail

Distill Ventures, the world’s first accelerator for new and growing spirits brands, is uniting a world class group of drinks entrepreneurs including Chip Tate and Rob Cooper to tackle the tough subject of taking the right money and growing a spirits business.

‘What’s The Right Deal To Take’? will provide real insight and practical advice on the pros and cons of different financial and distribution deals. Appearing alongside Chip and Rob will be Simon Ford from 86 Spirits Co and Brian Ellison from Deaths Door.  The group’s diverse experience will ensure that the seminar will be packed with anecdotes, revelations and lively debate around how up and coming brands can avoid the common pitfalls of the industry.

It is the first time that such a session has been included on the Tales programme and it is the only session dedicated to the growing number of spirits entrepreneurs attending the show.

Dan Gasper, Distill Ventures’ COO, comments:

“We know that getting started as a successful spirits brand is about more than money.  When there are multiple offers on the table, taking theright money is critical.  Get it wrong and you could end up making no one rich but the lawyers.

“We spotted an opportunity at Tales of The Cocktail to bring together an inspiring group of businessmen who can talk very openly about the mistakes they made and how they’d do things differently this time.  Such insights will be invaluable to those who are just starting out in this dynamic but very challenging marketplace”.

Distill Ventures offers a unique combination of cash investment and access to world-class industry expertise.
