Thanks to someone on my Facebook, I was very curious to try this one! I did some research and this is what I found in a nutshell…
This auspiciously-named whisky was matured in wine, Madeira, Sherry, Marsala, Kentucky bourbon and Port casks. Pfoeh, that was it I think! King Alexander III is a rich, fruity Highland single malt…. with a magic mix.
Yep.. I have been nosing and tasting. I’m considering to film myself while doing this… It must be funny!
A great Scotch Highland Whisky…
I liked it very much… the scent of this whisky amazed me! It’s one scent that was making me the feeling, wanting more! One sample wasn’t good enough … A flow of elegant aroma’s of orange etc.. Really a pleasure for my nose. Keeping the sample bottle.. that’s for sure!
- Name: Dalmore
- Type: Single Malt
- Country: Scotland
- Price per standard amount: € 100,00
Small history: In 1839 Alexander Matheson built a distillery called Dalmore. The Dalmore distillery is located west of Alness place at the mouth of the Avéron or Alness. The name comes from the Gaelic and means “big meadowland”. Dalmore distillery was bought by the Mackenzie family in the year 1886. This family carried the family weapon of their clan, the “Twelve Pointer Stag” (antlers of a deer). This family weapon is to this day still the mark on the bottle. It is a lovely bottle to look at… So if you have one, don’t put it away somewhere… show it!
This is a King!
