Collingwood, a Canadian delight

I’d love to expand the nosing and tasting in to something new. Collingwood is one of them.

Collingwood whisky is a Canadian Whisky. And not an usual one you can find in any store, I can say. For me it was pure a fortuitousness. The reason I went for this whisky was the shape of it’s bottle. It reminded me of a eau de cologne from the old days. If something like this doesn’t make you curious, what will.

This whisky was part of the Global Whisky Adventure I held on november the 1st 2013.

And this is what we thought!:

  • Screen Shot 2013-11-07 at 11.14.20 AMColor: Amber gold ( 1 person even called it :  the color of a knitted baby sweater )
  • Nose: sweet, vanilla, wet wood, maple, pineapple, candy fresh from the bag,
  • Taste: Strawberry milk shake, sweet candy, pineapple, Rich floral and dried fruit character
  • Finish: Medium long and warm

Collingwood is a delightful new maple wood mellowed and sweet Canadian whisky, that is triple distilled for optimal smoothness. It’s a whisky that everyone should try. And it took me one night of sleep, a drop of water could make it even better, and let the flavor emerge, even more.

Suggestions: Just pure, or just a few drops of water.

I give this whisky an 8 out of 10.
