Spirit of Speyside Whisky Festival offers visitors a unique opportunity to get hands-on in whisky-making process

Visitors attending the world’s leading Scotch whisky festival are being given a unique and exclusive opportunity to get hands-on with the distilling process. Speyside Distillery is offering just 10 people the chance to work alongside its distillers to produce spirit when it throws open its doors during the Spirit of Speyside Whisky Festival.

 

Only two people each day will be invited to join the team at the artisan distillery near Kingussie – home to SPEY from Speyside Distillery and Beinn Dubh single malts – to get an in-depth understanding of its traditional hand-crafted distillation processes.

Looking across the Firth of Clyde to the Isle of Arran from the Ayrshire mainland on a clear day fascinated me as a child. Trips to Arran with my family and school excursions felt like I was a million miles away from anywhere.

On a rare Scottish sunny day, the Isle of Arran resembles the Caribbean with palm trees dotted around and blue shimmering seas at every turn. Arran is an Island I had grown to love and that love affair has never ended. It has only got stronger since the Isle of Arran Distillers were born.

The Exceptional, when you look up this word in the dictionary, you will find that this means, extremely good or impressive in a way that is unusual, but also more or greater than usual. And let’s not forget, unusual and not likely to happen or exist very often.

This ‘The Exceptional’ Tweet tasting was stunning. I was really looking forward to this night (October 5th at 7pm BST). This night we sampled the 1st edition of the blend, the 2nd edition of the Malt and the 3rd edition of the Grain. These 3 are all bottled in 2016 and created by Don Sutcliffe.

New StudioFamily firm launches £25K crowdfunding bid.

An award-winning family firm has launched a £25,000 Crowdfunding appeal in a bid to create a state-of-the-art glassblowing studio.

Bridge of Allan-based Angels’ Share Glass, which specializes in unique gifts for whisky lovers, wants to increase production and train a new generation of glassmakers to continue the firm’s legacy.

The NEAT Glass

A whie ago I received the NEAT glass! The package looks good, nice shape and secured and the glasses are looking very interesting.  Please, do me a favor and keep an eye on this page for I will test this NEAT glass!  With passion, interest and whisky.

I opened the package that  was holding the glasses safe. It took me some work, but two lovely shiny shapes glasses were staring at me with a message, try me, it will be fun.
