Amrut Fusion

I had the privilege to try the Amrut Fusion. I found the following information.

Amrut Fusion is distilled from barley from Scotland and India, making this a true fusion of countries, so there is Indian and Scottish barley in this whisky. 1st time for me to try the Amrut Fusion. And when I posted this on the Social Media, I received a lot of reactions … positive ones, curious ones. Fantastic!

Screen Shot 2013-09-26 at 12.08.12 PMThere came questions, what do you think? Quite a tasty one isn’t it? All those curious people just had to wait. I wasn’t going to tell anything about my findings.

Now It’s time to share my thoughts to the rest of the world.

  • Color: Sunset golden
  • Nose: Sweet, vanilla, bitterness at the end of the nose, peppery, dark warm sugar, peaty hints, dried citrus fruit and smooth caramel. Reminded me of an old bar I used to go.
  • Taste: Sweetness with a hint of the bitterness on the tongue, peaty, warm sugar, oaky, strong coffee, combined with chocolate (white), hints of citrus, a present of vanilla and an enjoyable tingling on the tongue at the very end.
  • Finish: Medium sweet, smooth, very nice.

Here is a nice and interesting fact: The whisky that Armut distillery brings to the market is made from grain grown originating from the Himalaya. And the Himalaya, when I think about the Himalaya, there is a presence of silence and comfort.

That is also what the whisky brings to me. This was just a sample, but a huge chance I will buy a bottle in the near future. The fusion of the Indian and Scottish barley, has received a place at the right spot!

Suggestions: just pure! Don’t add anything!

I’m giving this one 8 out of 10.
